Quick Answer
Tape to Tape is available on Windows through Steam, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch. Its 1.0 release was announced for October 23, 2026 at 12PM ET, while the Canadian PS5 and Xbox listings show October 24, 2026. For Tape to Tape game platforms and pricing, the October 24, 2026 US prices were USD 17.99 on Steam, reduced from USD 19.99, and USD 19.99 before tax on Xbox; Steam does not list Mac support.
Is Tape to Tape on Steam for PC?
Yes, Tape to Tape is on Steam for Windows PC. The Steam version lists Windows support, so that is the PC platform to choose when deciding where to buy.
The PC listing and the console listings refer to the same game, but they identify different platforms. If you want the Steam edition, look for Tape to Tape on Steam rather than choosing a console purchase because its title matches.
| Steam Platform | Listed Support |
|---|---|
| Windows | Supported |
| macOS | Unsupported |
| Linux | Unsupported |
Once you have chosen the Windows version, head to Tape to Tape game controls for help getting started with the inputs. Platform selection answers where you can play; the controls page is the next stop when you are ready to handle the puck.
Can you play Tape to Tape on Mac?
The Steam version of Tape to Tape does not list macOS support as of October 24, 2026. If you are choosing a purchase specifically for a Mac, the Windows listing does not give you a supported Mac edition.
Keep that distinction in mind when you see the game described simply as a PC game. Here, the supported Steam platform is Windows. The same Steam listing also does not list Linux support.
A Steam listing does not mean that every computer operating system is supported. For Tape to Tape, check the operating system rather than relying on the word “PC.”
Is the Tape to Tape hockey game on PS5?
Yes, Tape to Tape has a PS5 edition with an official PlayStation Store listing. You can choose PS5 if that is where you want to play the hockey game.
The Canadian PlayStation Store lists its release as October 24, 2026. That differs from the game's official October 23, 2026 announcement for the 1.0 release across platforms. Keep both dates attached to their respective listings rather than treating one as the date shown everywhere.
The Canadian PS5 storefront displayed $26.99 on October 24, 2026. Treat that as the amount displayed by that regional storefront, rather than comparing it directly with a price explicitly labelled USD.
Which Xbox consoles is Tape to Tape on?
Tape to Tape's Xbox product page lists Xbox Series X|S. Those are the Xbox consoles named for this edition.
If you are deciding between the Steam and Xbox editions, keep the platform names separate: Windows is the supported Steam operating system, while Xbox Series X|S is the console platform listed by Xbox. Choose the edition for the device you intend to use.
The Canadian Xbox listing gives October 24, 2026 as its release date. Microsoft's US release record instead gives October 23, 2026 at 16:00 UTC. These are different displayed release records; neither should silently replace the other.
For questions about playing with someone else, continue to Tape to Tape game multiplayer and Remote Play. That is a separate decision from choosing your purchase platform.
Can you purchase Tape to Tape for Nintendo Switch?
Yes, Tape to Tape has an official Nintendo Switch product listing and purchase entry. The Nintendo US listing names Nintendo Switch as its system and October 23, 2026 as its release date.
If you want to purchase Tape to Tape for Switch, choose its Nintendo Switch product listing. The Steam and Xbox prices below belong to those editions and regions; they are not Switch price quotes.
The Switch release date matches the October 23 date announced for the 1.0 launch. It is separate from the game's earlier Early Access launch, so a 2023 date refers to a different release milestone.
When did Tape to Tape release?
Tape to Tape entered Early Access on May 3, 2023, and its announced 1.0 release was October 23, 2026 at 12PM ET. The Canadian PS5 and Xbox storefronts display October 24, 2026 instead.
| Release Milestone or Listing | Date |
|---|---|
| Early Access | May 3, 2023 |
| Announced 1.0 launch | October 23, 2026, 12PM ET |
| Steam release listing | October 23, 2026 |
| Nintendo US release listing | October 23, 2026 |
| Canadian PS5 release listing | October 24, 2026 |
| Canadian Xbox release listing | October 24, 2026 |
| Microsoft US release record | October 23, 2026, 16:00 UTC |
An older console update from May 13, 2026 described the ports as being prepared without an official release date. The later launch announcement and console product listings give the subsequent release information. If you remember reading that console versions were still coming, that was the earlier stage of development.
How much does Tape to Tape cost?
On October 24, 2026, Steam's US price was USD 17.99 after a 10% discount from USD 19.99, and the Xbox US purchase price was USD 19.99 before tax.
| Storefront Price Detail | Amount |
|---|---|
| Steam US regular price | USD 19.99 |
| Steam US discounted price | USD 17.99 |
| Steam US discount | 10% |
| Xbox US purchase price | USD 19.99 |
